Mr. Mawutor Ablo is a Social Protection, Monitoring and Evaluation Expert. He is a pioneer who led the development of the National Social Protection Policy and was also involved in the design and implementation of the National Social Protection Strategy (NSPS) and the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP)in Ghana.
He led and coordinated the development and implementation of the Common Targeting Mechanism (CTM), and the Proxy Means Test (PMT) Questionnaire which is used to identify, select and register beneficiaries of Social Protection Interventions in Ghana including indigent category for the National Health Insurance.
He also led the establishment of the National Targeting which is facilitating the establishment of the Ghana National Household Registry (GNHR).
He served as Ghana’s representative on the United Nations Commission on Social Development from 2009 to 2012 and participated in several National and International Social Protection and Cash Transfer programmes.
He holds an MBA in Corporate Strategy & Economic policy from Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands, a Master of Arts in Populations Studies from the United National Institute for population Studies, University of Ghana, Legon and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
